The role requires a strong understanding of GRC business processes, risk and control frameworks, and the ability to identify control gaps while enabling compliant, sustainable solutions that support business objectives.You will work closely with business, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders across complex, multifaceted environments, contributing to high-quality delivery outcomes within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop an in-depth understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), including Conduct Risk, Risk, Credit, and Compliance processes, systems, and data flowsTranslate regulatory and governance obligations into clear business, functional, and non-functional requirementsIdentify risks, control gaps, and compliance impacts across end-to-end business processesDefine, document, and optimise current- and future-state processes for Risk and Credit, ensuring full end-to-end coverageConduct impact assessments for new or changing requirements, analysing upstream and downstream dependenciesPerform gap analysis between current and target states, recommending process redesign and optimisation opportunitiesProduce high-quality analysis artefacts including BRS, user stories, use cases, data requirements, SOPs, and process flowsEnsure requirements traceability and alignment to governance, audit, and regulatory standardsSupport Agile delivery through backlog refinement, sprint management, sprint gate-keeping, PI/QBR planning, and close collaboration with Product OwnersCollaborate with Solution Architects to translate business requirements into technical specificationsSupport UAT planning, execution, defect management, and traceability from requirements to test casesMaintain consistent documentation standards aligned with PMO, governance, and audit expectationsContribute to organisational change through training materials, communication plans, and business readiness activitiesProactively identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses, recommending practical solutionsEngage internal and external stakeholders through workshops, requirements sessions, and ongoing communicationSupport vendor and procurement processes in line with organisational policies and legal requirementsAdhere to and contribute to PMO standards, producing required delivery and governance artefactsRequirementsMinimum 5-10 years' experience as a Business Analyst in complex, multifaceted financial services environmentsStrong experience in Risk, Regulatory and Compliance, preferably within Corporate and Investment BankingProven delivery experience on GRC or regulatory-driven initiatives, including Conduct RiskSolid understanding of governance frameworks (Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, or equivalent)Hands-on experience across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery modelsExtensive experience with backlog management, sprint and PI planning, and Product Owner engagementStrong business analysis fundamentals aligned to BABOK and SDLCAbility to manage ambiguity, complex dependencies, and challenging stakeholdersStrong stakeholder facilitation, influencing, and negotiation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and conceptual thinkingExperience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and SQL for requirements and analysisEducationMatric (required)Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or recognised certification from an accredited institution)Please Note:As all iqbusiness roles require honesty in the handling of or access to cash, finances, financial systems, or confidential information; our recruitment process requires that the following background checks be completed: credit, criminal, ID, and qualification verification.iqbusiness is committed to sustainable growth and transformation; we embrace diversity and employ previously disadvantaged individuals.
