Refund Policy

1. Cooling-Off Period
In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) and Section 48 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for electronic transactions. During this period, you may cancel your purchase and request a full refund, subject to the conditions outlined below.
2. Pro Subscription (R2,499/month)
You are eligible for a full refund of your Pro subscription if:
- Your refund request is made within 14 days of the subscription purchase date
- You have not used any premium features included in the Pro plan during the subscription period
If you have already used premium features (e.g. priority listing, advanced analytics, or contractor search), the refund request will not be eligible for approval.
3. Add-On Purchases
The following add-on products are eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase, provided they have not yet been activated:
- Featured Listing (R499): Refundable within 14 days if the featured placement has not been activated on a job listing
- Highlighted Listing (R299): Refundable within 14 days if the highlight has not been applied to a job listing
- Email Blast (R999): Refundable within 14 days only if the email blast has not yet been sent
4. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for a refund under any circumstances:
- Email blasts that have already been sent to subscribers
- Add-ons that have already been activated or applied to a job listing
- Pro subscription purchases where premium features have been used
- Any purchase where the 14-day cooling-off period has expired
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email us at hello@contractza.co.za with the following information:
- Your full name and email address associated with your account
- Your Paystack payment reference number
- The product or subscription you wish to be refunded for
- The reason for your refund request
6. Refund Processing
Once your refund request has been reviewed and approved, the refund will be processed via Paystack to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been initiated.
