Introduction The Contracts Manager will support the project teams in managing contractual obligations under the EPC Contract and related client, subcontract, supply, and consultancy agreements. The role will involve upstream & Downstream contract administration, preparation of contractual correspondence, claims support, compliance monitoring, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure contractual requirements are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties & Responsibilities Contract Appreciation
Review and analyze the conditions of the EPC and O&M Contract for the Renewable Energy Projects. Prepare a comprehensive Contract Appreciation Document highlighting key contractual obligations, entitlements, and potential risks.
Notifications and Compliance
Issue timely notifications to the Owner and other related parties, ensuring compliance with notification requirements stipulated in the EPC Contract. Monitor and facilitate compliance with contractual requirements across the project.
Coordination
Collaborate with various departments within the organization to ensure timely delivery of contractual obligations. Liaise with the Project Management team and other related parties to align project timelines and milestones.
Claims Management
Prepare claims for Extension of Time and recovery of additional costs based on EPC Contract entitlements. Assist the Project Management team and other related parties in interpreting contractual terms and ensuring compliance.
Subcontract and Contract Drafting
Draft terms for Subcontracts, Supply Contracts, and Consultancy Contracts based on EPC Contract terms. Administer Subcontracts, Supply Contracts, and Consultancy Contracts, ensuring alignment with the EPC Contractor's interests.
Correspondence Review
Review correspondences from Subcontracts, Supply Contracts, and Consultancy Contracts. Advise the Project Management team and other related parties on appropriate responses to contractual correspondence. Defend any subcontract claims.
Focal Point for Contract Management
Act as the primary contact for contract management on both the EPC Contract and Subcontract sides of the allocated renewable energy Projects. Review, draft, negotiate and finalize other ancillary agreements/documents such as NDA, Collaboration Agreement, Exclusivity Agreement, Joint Ventures, MOUs and other related agreements.
Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications & Experience Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical/Civil). Formal qualification in Contracts Management, Business Law, Commercial Law, Construction Law, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience
7–10 years of relevant experience in Contracts Administration, Contract Management, Commercial, or Claims functions within EPC projects. Experience in Renewable Energy projects is highly preferred.
Industry Preference Candidates from the following industries will be preferred:
Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, BESS) Power & Energy Infrastructure (Roads, Bridges, Tunnels, Metro, Utilities)
Technical Skills
Understanding of EPC and O&M contract administration. Exposure to contractual correspondence, claims support, and contract compliance activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Copilot. Knowledge of Primavera P6 will be an added advantage. Exposure to using AI tools will be an advantage.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
