Duties & Responsibilities Main Purpose: To manage the central registry and all SIU’s records management system.Key Performance Areas (Include but not limited to): Develop, implement, and maintain a SIU records management system in line with National Archive legislation. Manage and monitor the Central Registry for Head Office. Provide advice to stakeholders on SIU’s records management system. Ensure that a proper records management system is implemented and maintained in the Head Office and Provincial Offices. Manage subordinates in the section.Technical Skills: Leadership. Communication. Interpersonal. Presentation and facilitation. Risk Management. Report Writing. Planning and organising. Programme and project management. People management. Relationship management. Financial management. Required Knowledge and Behavioural (include but not limited to): Sound knowledge of applicable legislation (i.e., Occupational Health and Safety Act, National Archives and Records Services Act, etc.). Knowledge of Supply Chain Management process. Knowledge of public sector environment. Sound knowledge of Records Management principles and best practices. Knowledge of project management principles. Ms Office Suite proficiency. Desired Experience & Qualification Minimum Qualification and Experience: National Diploma or B Degree qualification in Records Management, Archival Studies, Information Management (NQF 6/7) or equivalent. Project Management qualification would be advantageous. Five years’ functional experience in records management, of which 2 years is at a supervisory/ management level.
