Introduction Our client is looking for the following candidate to join the core SAP Engineering team within the Group IT Hub South Africa, driving the "Vehicle Invoicing NSC" product line.

This critical product designs and implements standardized invoicing systems and vehicle-related services for global subsidiaries, providing an efficient, highly automated, and compliant sales and distribution framework across the entire vehicle lifecycle to replace outdated legacy systems.

The feature team focuses on high adaptability, allowing new international markets to be completely converted to the new S/4HANA solution footprint within a single year.

SAP SD & Cross-Module Core: Strong functional capabilities in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD), supported by a broad, fair knowledge across multiple integrated SAP modules. System Design & Process Configuration: 5+ years of practical experience documenting as-is/to-be workflows, conducting module configurations, and creating system design specifications for customized development objects. Collaborative & Adaptive Delivery: An advanced, mostly autonomous professional who utilizes flexibility and compromise to adapt unrefined requests into corporate standards, checking that solutions accurately address identified business problems.

Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:

Process Analysis & Specifications: Document highly comprehensive as-is and to-be business processes, and author precise System Proposals and System Design Specifications for the technical developer teams. Module Configuration & Maintenance: Conduct functional process configuration within assigned SAP modules, updating and maintaining all related functional and development documentation. Integration Coordination: Coordinate actively with fellow SAP consultants to map module integration rules, ensuring smooth data flows between diverse SAP and non-SAP solutions. Problem Identification & Resolution: Analyze, diagnose, and solve complex module issues, utilizing code debugging skills where appropriate to accelerate error remediation. Quality & Security Testing: Prepare robust test cases, author user manuals for business process owners, and conduct Unit tests, Integration tests, and System Integration security tests. Governance & Optimization: Analyze and scope end-user authorization roles, and proactively propose system enhancements to optimize the long-term support of new business processes. Agile Team Collaboration: Operate autonomously under the guidance of a senior mentor, participating in team deliverables according to the Agile Working Model.

Desired Experience & Qualification Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in IT or Accounting. Formal SAP Certification is mandatory. Minimum of 5+ years of commercial experience as an SAP Functional Consultant.

Essential Skills & Technologies:

Core Functional Expertise:

Solid experience in SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), with an initial operational focus on master data governance. Proven expertise merging technical theory with practical implementation across software development lifecycles. Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and system troubleshooting skills.

Advantageous Technical Exposures:

Functional experience on modern SAP S/4HANA project landscapes. Familiarity with SAP Fiori user interfaces. Familiarity with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) applications. Familiarity with SAP VMS (Vehicle Management Systems) frameworks. Basic code debugging capabilities to assist with swift problem identification.

Advantageous Skills:

Technical knowledge of SAP ABAP, data modeling, and UI5 structures. Practical experience executing within an Agile methodology using tools like Jira and Confluence. Experience managing quality control via test tools such as HP ALM and Jira X-Ray. Prior experience utilizing SAP Solution Manager. German language speaking capabilities. Flexibility to travel abroad for project delivery requirements. Flexibility to accommodate occasional weekend work, shift rotations, or extended hours when required.
