Introduction We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager with strong exposure to mining, construction, engineering, manufacturing and industrial environments.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead strategic and operational procurement and end-to-end Source-to-Pay processes. Manage RFI, RFQ, RFP, tender and adjudication processes. Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms and supplier agreements. Drive cost savings, supplier performance and procurement efficiencies. Manage supplier relationships, contracts, quality issues and expediting. Procure mining equipment, engineering materials, plant, consumables and services. Analyse spend, budgets, forecasts and procurement performance. Work closely with Engineering, Finance, Operations and Project teams. Manage local and international sourcing, imports and freight where required. Lead and mentor procurement teams.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering or related field. Extensive procurement experience, preferably within mining/engineering/construction. Strong negotiation, sourcing and contract management experience. Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, JD Edwards, Syspro or similar ERP systems. Strong Excel, analytical, reporting and stakeholder management skills. Experience with BOMs, BOQs, technical drawings, CAPEX/OPEX and project procurement advantageous. Strong understanding of supplier management, procurement governance and cost optimisation.
