Introduction The Service Domain Lead: Datacenter & Server is responsible for the strategic, operational, and technical leadership of an organisation's datacenter, server infrastructure, and related platforms. This role ensures high availability, stability, security, and scalability of enterprise server environments and datacenter operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manages Security requirements for Server and Datacentre services (On-prem and Azure) Manages services to agreed Service Level Agreements that meet business needs Manages services to agreed Service Level Requirements for new services for both business and suppliers Ensures the effective implementation of technology standards in the Server environment Identifies and implements various component parts necessary to deliver the services through Operating Level Agreements Manages services to the agreed Operational Level Agreements between suppliers Manages the day-to-day delivery of the contracted services, ensure quality of delivery and address service failures Co-ordinates, directs and evaluates the operations of the Environment Ensures system performance through the monitoring of performance and system configuration Oversees effective incident resolution Drives continuous service improvement(s) to maximise the effectiveness and quality of Wintel/Oracle services Manages Disaster Recovery Capabilities Optimising, scaling, and advancing. cloud-hosting capabilities.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric and a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. 7–10 years experience in server/compute/datacenter environments. 3–5 years in a leadership or senior technical role. Certifications beneficial VMware VCP MCSE / MCSA / Windows Server Azure/AWS Associate‑level CompTIA Server+, Cloud+, or similar
